Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping and payroll experience.
• QuickBooks proficiency (desktop and online).
• QuickBooks Online Certification a plus.
• Sales tax return preparation experience a plus.
• Associate's degree in accounting a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• High proficiency in MS Excel.
• Proven analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Comfortable working under deadline pressure.

Responsibilities

• Code and enter bank statement transactions and other bookkeeping activity for multiple clients.
• Complete month-end processes and reconcile client bank accounts.
• Provide backup support to other accounting team members and their clients as needed.
• Prepare payroll reports, sales tax returns, year-end tax forms, and financial statements (monthly/quarterly/annual).
• Administer client payroll, including onboarding/termination updates, pay rate and deduction changes, timesheet review, direct deposit processing, and payroll tax deposits.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through timely, responsive communication.
