Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Porterville, CA team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques, collect specimens for various tests, and ensure accurate data entry and smooth patient interactions. Adherence to safety protocols and high-quality service are essential.

The role requires a California phlebotomy license and a High School diploma. Experience is preferred, and bilingual Spanish/English abilities are a plus for serving diverse patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid California Phlebotomy License required.
• 1+ month experience as a phlebotomist preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately into the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs of patient and specimen data.
• Provide excellent customer service to all patients.
