Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at 57725 29 Palms Hwy Yucca Valley, CA 92284. You will perform blood collections, handle specimens, and provide excellent patient service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CA CPT license, and 3+ months of phlebotomy experience. Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus; travel to other sites may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• California CPT phlebotomy license required.
• 3 months or more of experience as phlebotomist.
• License flex: CA license or license application may meet requirement.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday 7:00 am- 3:30 pm additional hours and rotating weekends may be required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)
• 3 months or more of experience as phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year or more of experience as phlebotomist
• Current or Prior experience at LabCorp

Additional Job Standards: In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement. 1 year or more phlebotomist experiences with Geriatrics and Pediatric patients Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English Able to pass a standardized color blindness test. Flexibility to work overtime as needed Exceptional customer service Strong communication skills; both written and verbal Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Reliable transportation
