Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks a Certified Journeyman Boilermaker for outage projects in Texas. You will assemble, align, and repair boilers, tanks, and pressure vessels according to blueprints, using power and hand tools, including welding and rigging as required.

The role requires NCCER certifications (written or practical), ability to read plans, work at heights, and adhere to safety and project rules. On-site field work with equipment and maintenance tasks included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with related field experience.
• Knowledge of shop mathematics and ability to read plans.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings accurately.

Responsibilities

• Locate reference points and align boiler components per specs.
• Operates rigging signals and guides crane for positioning parts.
• Aligns sections using plumb bobs, levels and wedges.
• Welds and bolts structures; installs and tests water-tube boilers.
• Performs maintenance and cleaning, observes safety rules.
