Job summary

Idaho Forest Group is seeking a Swing Shift Boiler/Kiln Operator for our Kentucky facility. This entry-level role starts in the Boiler-Kiln Apprenticeship program, with progression through work-up steps, required training, and hours toward the top level.

Essential duties include operating kilns, loading/unloading with a forklift, and maintaining safety and documentation. A valid forklift certification and a high school diploma or GED are required or pursued. Pre-employment screenings apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or willingness to obtain GED.
• Must have a valid forklift certification.
• Boiler/Kiln experience preferred.
• Ability to work various shifts, including overtime.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and control kilns to dry lumber as directed.
• Load and unload kilns with a forklift for material handling.
• Complete daily paperwork and reports on computer systems.
• Follow safety rules and complete job safety analyses.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and perform pre-operating checks.
