Job summary

Idaho Forest Group is seeking a Kiln Operator to oversee kiln operations, monitor drying and temperature schedules, and maintain accurate process records. The role requires compliance with safety protocols and the ability to work across production teams to meet targets.

The position offers the starting pay of $26.83 per hour, with potential for advancement based on performance and experience. Flexibility across shifts may be needed, including Sundays and Tuesdays, and every other Wednesday.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification or ability to acquire certification.
• Attention to detail to monitor and adjust processes for quality and efficiency.
• Safety awareness and adherence to protocols for high-temp machinery.
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test, post-offer physical, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Comprehend and perform duties per rules, regulations and JSAs.
• Follow safety protocols and report hazards to ensure a safe work environment.
• Operate and oversee kilns to ensure temperature and drying schedules are met.
• Monitor kiln schedules to ensure materials are processed correctly.
• Complete regular moisture readings to ensure moisture targets are met.
• Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of kiln equipment, ensuring systems work efficiently.
• Maintain detailed records of kiln temperatures, times, and other data; report issues.
• Coordinate with production teams to meet targets and resolve issues.
