Job summary

Mullican Flooring is seeking an entry level Boiler/Dry Kiln Helper to assist boiler/kiln operators and tend the boiler to dry lumber. The role involves rounds, area clean-up, and safety compliance with potential growth into a Boiler/Kiln Operator.

This full-time, 3rd shift position offers health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), paid vacation and holidays, with final compensation based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Entry level position with willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow oral or written instructions issued by supervisors
• Basic mathematical skills
• Ability to watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure machines are working properly
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Solid decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Hourly rounds/walk throughs throughout the mill.
• Responsible for cleaning up the boiler area and reporting any potential dangers.
• Assist boiler operator as needed
• Complete daily reports as required
• Understand and follow safety regulations and procedures
