Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking an experienced technician to maintain and repair large commercial boiler systems across gas-fired and electric options at our Pflugerville, TX site.

You will troubleshoot control systems, perform routine and complex repairs, and support service sales with technical analysis for retrofits and upgrades. A 4-year apprenticeship with 5+ years of experience is required; OSHA-10 and a TX driver license are expected.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a 4-year apprenticeship program or technical schooling.
• At least 5 years’ experience in repair, maintenance, and operation of large commercial boilers and steam generation systems.
• Valid Texas Driver License and clean driving record.
• OSHA-10 certification (within 6 months from date of hire).
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to read blueprints, layouts and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair boiler systems and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot control systems, electrical circuitry, and related components.
• Test systems using combustion analyzer, multi-meter, and other tools.
• Calibrate instrumentation and drive units, and monitor safety and EPA compliance.
• Document preventive maintenance and repair work with accurate records.
