Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a skilled technician to perform routine maintenance and complex repairs on controls systems for large commercial HVAC boilers in California. This role involves troubleshooting, testing with analyzers and meters, and performing preventive maintenance while ensuring safety compliance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in boiler operation/maintenance, OSHA-10, a valid CA driver license, and the ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in repair, maintenance, and operation of large commercial boilers.
• OSHA-10 certification (within 6 months if not current).
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and layout plans.
• Proven ability to manage time and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair boiler systems and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot control systems, electrical circuitry, gas/fuel lines, pumps, motors, and heat exchangers.
• Test using combustion analyzer and meters; calibrate instrumentation.
• Document preventive maintenance and repairs; maintain records and paperwork.
• Assist Service Sales with scope development, analysis, and retrofits.
