The role requires a 4-year apprenticeship or technical schooling, 5+ years of boiler experience, a valid Texas driver license, and OSHA-10 certification. Some on-call work evenings and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a 4-year apprenticeship program or technical schooling.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with large commercial boilers and steam systems.
• Valid Texas driver license and clean driving record.
• OSHA-10 certification required within 6 months if not yet certified.
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Proficient with building control systems and preventative maintenance programs.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair boiler systems and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot control systems, electrical circuitry, and related components.
• Use combustion analyzers and meters to test and analyze systems.
• Perform calibrations on gauges, transmitters, and VFDs.
• Follow preventative maintenance schedules and document work.
• Assist service sales with scope development and cost estimates.
• Maintain records and complete paperwork in a timely manner.
• Work safely under Southland’s rules and regulations.
