Job summary

Insomniac is seeking an Operations Manager focused on back of house operations for our festival and events. The role requires detail orientation and the ability to pre-plan and execute efficiently within our festival model.

Hybrid work schedule with on-site reporting is required in California. The successful candidate will manage budgeting for credentials, catering, radios, travel, hotels, offices, artist dressing rooms and hospitality, leading the advancement team and coordinating with multiple

Qualifications

• 5+ years of event coordinating/planning and execution.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets.
• Ability to effectively manage groups of staff.
• Must be motivated with an “Everything is possible” attitude.
• Must be an active problem solver, with urgency for large and small projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage all departmental planning and execution of back of house operations.
• Partner with Festival Promoter and Producer to adjust to meet goals.
• Build radio channel matrix and coordinate equipment orders for on-site needs.
• Coordinate with Site Production to ensure workspace on-site for all departments.
• Oversee load-in and truck stop operations, including staffing and planning.
• Forecast staff catering needs and manage vendor relations for dining operations.
• Create staff advancement plans and coordinate with site management for on-site needs.
• Collaborate with travel agency to arrange staff travel and hotel requests.
• Develop staff credentialing processes and distribute staff guides.
• Ensure on-site PPE is available and OSHA-certified.
• Support other departments on site as needed.
