Job summary

Chick-fil-A is seeking a Back of House Director to lead BOH team members, trainers, and leaders, ensuring safe, high-quality food experiences while developing people and optimizing systems. This role drives operational excellence, labor management, and financial stewardship in a fast-paced restaurant environment, guided by our Vision to exemplify care with purposeful excellence.

Candidates should have restaurant leadership experience, ServSafe certification, and a track record of coaching teams

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree preferred.
• Proven experience leading teams of 20+.
• 4+ years of restaurant experience preferred.
• ServSafe Certification.
• Strong food safety, food quality, and operational discipline.
• Ability to coach, develop, and lead through others.
• Fluent in Spanish is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee BOH Team Members, BOH Team Trainers, and Team Leaders through clear communication, consistent coaching, and strong daily execution.
• Maintain a clean, organized BOH and ensure all food production meets Pathway standards while complying with Deloitte and EcoSure expectations.
• Maintain food cost, paper cost goals set by the Owner/Operator, and steward repairs and maintenance within the approved monthly budget.
• Manage labor and scheduling to maintain productivity goals set by the Owner/Operator, using breaks, cleaning tasks, and voluntary early clock-outs to support labor goals.
• Maintain strong Back Office knowledge, including R&T, Signal, Time Punch, TMUA, Pathway, and Nation Checklists.
• Identify Team Members with leadership potential and coach them through development stages alongside the Training Manager.
