Job summary

Chick-fil-A Valparaiso is seeking a Back of House Director to lead and develop the BOH team, ensure food safety, quality, and service speed, and maintain profitable food costs.

You will supervise the Assistant BOH Director and shift leads, drive training initiatives, and coordinate with the Training Director to build leadership bench strength while sustaining our high standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience building and leading Back of House teams.
• Strong coaching and development of shift leads and trainers.
• Ability to conduct HR and performance conversations with BOH staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop leaders: supervise Assistant BOH Director and shift leads; conduct 1:1s.
• Drive system optimization: ensure speed, checklists, and prep operations.
• Maintain food safety and quality standards across shifts.
• Oversee inventory, kitchen supplies, and cleanliness programs.
• Manage labor and food cost to meet targets; uphold professionalism.
