Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a full-time Boat Services Manager to oversee the Boat Service department, including service, rigging, warranty, parts, inventory, detailing, and boat delivery activities. You will lead service associates, coordinate workflow, and help meet department financial goals in a dynamic retail setting.

Under the Boat Manager, you will ensure a positive customer experience, supervise daily operations, and contribute to shows and events.

Qualifications

2-4 years of experience in retail boating, marine service, or a similar industry.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to coordinate service workflow, employees, inventory, and multiple priorities.
Experience with inventory management and basic financial information (percentages, discounts, commissions).

Responsibilities

Supervises and directs Boat Service department associates.
Schedules service, rigging, and warranty work.
Supports department goals for service and parts sales, gross margin, inventory, payroll, and productivity.
Manages unit and parts inventory and ensures accuracy.
Ensures warranty claims are submitted accurately and payments received timely.
Oversees boat detailing and delivery to ensure professional customer experience.
Assists with hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
Addresses customer and operational concerns with the Boat Manager.
Maintains a safe, clean, organized, customer-focused work environment.
Supports boat shows, dealership events, and promotions.
