Job summary

Hoffman Auto Group is seeking a skilled automotive technician in Connecticut to perform vehicle repairs with safety and customer satisfaction as priorities. The role requires documenting repairs, following service bulletins, and meeting productivity metrics.

The technician will maintain certifications, assist in mentoring newer technicians, and ensure accurate repair order records while upholding company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• 1-2 years’ experience in a customer service oriented environment preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Must read and understand manufacturer technical data and service bulletins.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ASE and/or manufacturer certifications; stay up to date with all manufacturer technical data as well as service bulletins.
• Read and understand customer complaints; diagnose and advise findings; complete all authorized repairs in accordance with manufacturer and company policy; return warranty parts to parts dept and road test vehicles as needed to verify completion of repairs.
• Properly document all repairs using both internet-based tools and physical Repair Order documentation as instructed per department requirements.
• Meet all flat-rate hour production-based metrics as prescribed by Management.
• Act as a mentor, and trainer to employees in the Technician, Lube Technician, and Apprentice Technician roles.
