Job summary

GuideWell's Florida Blue division seeks a Facilities Technician to operate and monitor automated Building Management Systems (BMS) across office, clinical, and retail sites. You will ensure HVAC equipment operates at peak efficiency, identify faulty devices, and report faults with follow-through on repairs.

Perform preventive maintenance, calibrate field controllers, and review system performance to identify energy savings opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years related experience with Automated Building Management Systems
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience installing and repairing BMS components
• Basic programming knowledge
• Experience in chiller plant operations
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, electrical schematics
• Familiar with redundant electrical systems
• Willing to work day, night, weekends, overtime, holidays

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate Automated BMS and HVAC systems
• Perform daily rounds to check proper operation of monitored systems
• Optimize system efficiency and energy consumption
• Troubleshoot and correct BMS faults
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on the BMS
