Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in flour milling or food manufacturing operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proven ability to lead teams, drive performance, and ensure safety and quality.

What You’ll Do

As the Mill Superintendent, you will lead, direct, and develop the milling team to achieve maximum milling efficiencies, optimize wheat yields, and ensure safe, high-quality operations. You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement while supporting Mennel's commitment to food safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading all milling operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production
• Using Mennel's Mission, Quality, and Safety Statements as guiding principles for decision-making
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and audit-ready manufacturing facility
• Recruiting, training, developing, and retaining milling team members
• Leading all employee safety initiatives in accordance with OSHA, NFPA, and corporate EHS programs
• Managing equipment inventories to support preventive maintenance programs and operational reliability
• Serving as an active member of the facility Food Safety Team
• Maintaining and improving master sanitation schedules and milling SOPs
• Managing wheat and flour inventories to ensure products consistently meet specification requirements
• Supporting equipment readiness and inventory management to maximize operational performance
• Collaborating effectively across departments and engaging employees in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives
• Driving accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence throughout the milling department
• Performing other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's degree in Milling Science, Food Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field preferred
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in flour milling or food manufacturing operations preferred
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and driving operational performance
• Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, presentation, and technical writing abilities
• Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels of the organization
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
• Self-motivated leader with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Positive, results-oriented attitude with a passion for developing people and achieving goals
