Alfa Laval Mid Europe GmbH in Richmond is seeking a Manufacturing Blue-Collar Recruiter to lead end-to-end recruitment for hourly production roles. You will partner with hiring managers, staffing agencies, and candidates to build a steady pipeline and hire quickly in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of recruiting experience, with focus on manufacturing, production, or blue-collar roles.
• Proven experience managing relations with external staffing agencies.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software; experience with Workday and ADP is a plus.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for hourly blue-collar roles, including job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, define job requirements, and develop effective recruitment strategies.
• Utilize sourcing channels (job boards, social media, community outreach, employee referrals, job fairs) to attract a diverse candidate pool.
• Conduct phone and in-person interviews to assess candidate fit, availability, and commitment.
• Coordinate onboarding processes, including background checks, drug screenings, and new hire paperwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and ensure compliance with all hiring policies and regulations.
• Build and maintain a talent pipeline for recurring and seasonal hiring needs.
• Manage relationships with staffing agencies, negotiate contracts and SLAs, monitor performance, and ensure seamless temp-to-perm conversions.
