Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year experience as Medical Assistant and/or a Medical Assistant Diploma and/or a Medical Assistant Certification.
• Experience with EMR/EHR preferred.
• Experience in a primary health care setting preferred.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Assists with day-to-day front and back office operations.
• Administers injections and assists with patient care procedures (EKG, screenings).
• Obtains patient history and vital signs; supports audits and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and ensures equipment calibration and cleanliness.
• Registers patients, updates demographics, verifies insurance, and codes encounters.
• Performs end-of-day reconciliations and secures/ deposits cash as needed.
• Prepares for next day clinic and screens patients for eligibility.
• Provides exceptional customer service and assists other departments as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
