Job summary

Global Roles is seeking a Blood Collection Staff member to assist with the blood collection process, interact with donors, and ensure safety procedures are followed. Paid training is provided, and no prior medical experience is required.

You will work on-site with a team, transport and set up equipment, create a welcoming environment for donors, and help meet regulatory requirements while supporting repeat donations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include lifting, pushing or pulling heavy weights and long hours.
• Minimum height of 60 inches may be required for vehicle operation.
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency required.
• Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Prior leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with every step of the blood collection process using healthcare or customer service skills.
• Collaborate with team to transport and set up equipment at collection sites.

Responsibilities

• Utilize healthcare and/or customer service skills to assist with every step of the blood collection process
• Collaborate with team to transport and setup equipment at collection sites
• Create a welcoming and comfortable environment for volunteer donors
• Follow all safety procedures while collecting lifesaving blood donations
• Take time to personally connect with donors and help them understand the impact of their donation
• Collaborate with teammates to create a friendly environment to encourage repeat donations
• Be detail oriented to ensure blood collected meets goals and regulatory requirements
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setup and teardown of equipment at donation sites

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required
• Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes are required
• Position may require a minimum height of 60 inches to ensure the ability to safely operate Red Cross vehicles
• Basic computer skills are required
• Must be proficient with Microsoft office applications
• Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.) is preferred
• Prior leadership experience is preferred
