Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health seeks a Lab Section Coordinator for Winchester Hospital to supervise Blood Bank operations and perform Medical Technologist duties, ensuring regulatory compliance and timely test results.

You will lead a team in a 24-hour hospital setting, coordinating with staff and physicians to support patient care and safety while maintaining documentation and quality controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science field required.
• At least three years experience as a Medical Technologist, with demonstrated expertise in at least one of the assigned bench areas.
• Required: Medical Technologist registry eligible
• Preferred: Medical Technologist registered (ASCP or applicable)

Responsibilities

• Oversees and directs the day-to-day laboratory operations in the assigned areas/benches to ensure the employees are providing our patients with the most effective, efficient, safe, timely and patient-centered services possible.
• Acts as the Liaison between staff and management and keeps management informed of operational issues.
• Recognizes that employees are the key to the Hospital’s success.
• Assists in developing, implementing, and enforcing clear and concise department policies and procedures to ensure the safe, efficient operations of the department that are in compliance with current regulatory issues pertinent to the department’s clinical issues and operations.
