Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Laboratory Technologist to join the Blood Bank and Core Laboratory. You will perform blood bank procedures for safe issuance, including cross matches, type and screens, unit issuing, antibody panels, DAT workups, donor workups, and ISBT labeling, using the LIS system.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology or Biological Science, ASCP certification, and 0–1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or Biological Science is required.
• ASCP certified generalist or categorical Technologist or equivalent accreditation is required.
• Non-certified applicants must acquire certification within 12 months of hire or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Perform Blood Bank procedures: cross matches, type and screens, issuing units, antibody panels, DAT workups, donor workups.
• Utilize LIS for Blood Bank and Core Laboratory workflows.
• Perform Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Microbiology, and Urinalysis testing as described.
