Concord Hospital Health System is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to lead a designated section of the laboratory under the Laboratory Director. The role focuses on coordinating staff, maintaining quality, and serving as a technical and administrative resource.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science (or equivalent) with CLIA-experience, and demonstrated supervisory and LIS expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent required.
• MLS (ASCP)/MLT (ASCP) or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with CLIA Interpretive Guidelines and high complexity testing.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities within a clinical lab.

Responsabilités

• Oversees operational, technical and staff activities for their designated section, including staff scheduling and performance management.
• Develops and coordinates activities to promote high-quality laboratory processing and analysis, ensuring current standards are met.
• Consults and collaborates with other health care team members.
• Performs clinical laboratory procedures requiring independent judgment within qualified scope.
• Maintains knowledge of CLIA regulations and competency in the area of responsibility.
• Reviews policies and procedures; manages workload and processes.
• Coordinates equipment documentation, functional checks, and routine maintenance.
• Responsible for staff recruitment, orientation, training, competence, and development.
• Evaluates new testing procedures and makes recommendations to leadership.
• Serves as a technical supervisor and resource for staff; conducts regular staff meetings and contributes to QA plans.
• Interacts with clients and patients to meet service needs and collect feedback.
