Qualifications

• Successfully completed first semester in an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
• Completed a medical assistant or patient care technician program.
• A applicable certification (PCT/MA/MA/EMT/Nurse) may substitute for education requirements.
• First Responder - RQI within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Implement identified plan through coordination of care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with care team to achieve expected outcomes.
• Communicate patient data to the appropriate staff promptly.
• Promote infection prevention and hygiene standards in patient rooms and departments.
• Assist with activities of daily living and record vital signs accurately.
• Uphold Stormont Vail Health nursing practice model and professional ethics.
• Support ongoing education and mentorship for new PCTs and students.
• Commit to lifelong learning and critical thinking for professional growth.
