Job summary

The Aultman Birth Center seeks an experienced Clinical Unit Director (RN) to lead a maternity unit with a focus on daily operations, staff accountability, and high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, overseeing budgets and planning, and contributing to strategic planning.

Ideal candidates have BSN, RN license, BLS/ACLS, and leadership experience in a similar setting. The role reports to an Executive Director or Vice President and may have an assistant

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing with BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Current, valid unencumbered RN license (OBN or multistate).
• BLS w/ RQI training required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and accountability for staff on the unit.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and budget planning for the Birth Center.
• Contribute to strategic planning and long-term department goals.
• Ensure regulatory readiness and RN competencies; maintain professional standards.
• Lead recruitment, staff development, and retention strategies.
