Job summary

GenScript USA Inc./ProBio Inc. is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive sales for GenScript's custom life science services in the San Francisco Peninsula. You will combine scientific insight with sales expertise to grow the territory and build strategic relationships.

The role involves 50% account management and 50% field travel, collaborating with Regional Managers and Technical Solution Managers to hit monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets; a strong Biotech background is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in life sciences.
• Minimum of 2 years in scientific or life science sales.
• Knowledge of Biological/CRO/CDMO markets; emphasis on Gene Synthesis, Protein, Peptide, Bioassays, Antibody, cell line products/services.
• Lab experience is preferred.
• Ability to operate effectively in an international business environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement territory sales strategies with the Regional Manager.
• Collaborate with Regional Manager and Technical Solution Managers to secure business in a competitive environment.
• Understand customer research applications and match GenScript’s services to their project requirements.
• Share market knowledge with Sales, TSM and Marketing teams through weekly field feedback reports.
• Introduce GenScript to new researchers and companies in the industry.
