Osanni Bio, a development-stage therapeutics company based in San Francisco, seeks a Staff Accountant to manage day-to-day accounts payable and PO operations within its hub-and-spoke finance model. The role collaborates with Clinical Operations, R&D, and CMC to ensure accurate payments and contract alignment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable building scalable processes in a fast-paced biotech setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• CPA or progress toward CPA a plus.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience with AP/PO ownership.
• Experience with hub-and-spoke finance or procurement models is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle accounts payable process: invoice intake, coding, three-way matching, approvals, and vendor payments.
• Administer the purchase order process within the hub-and-spoke model, coordinating with department spokes.
• Coordinate with Clinical Operations, R&D, and CMC to align contracts with POs and invoices.
• Maintain the vendor master file, onboarding vendors, collecting W-9s and banking details, and prevent duplicate payments.
• Support month-end close with bank and balance sheet reconciliations, researching variances.
• Manage 1099 reporting and support sales and use tax compliance.
