Overview
The Senior Accountant will assist with the day-to-day accounting activities, monthly close processes for the business, and maintain responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Record day to day general ledger transactions, including cash activity
- Process accounts payable (vendor invoices and expense reports, maintain vendor records, etc), monitor checking account balances.
- Review of credit card transactions
- Maintenance of contract status forms (tracking billing vs. contracts, participate in quarterly meetings with department heads to confirm status)
- Setup Unemployment and payroll taxes with new states as needed.
- Prepare and/or submit customer invoices and supporting documentation
- Complete accounting close procedures such as bank reconciliations, expense accruals, variance analysis and vendor confirmations.
- Timesheet support, review and maintenance.
- Assist with auditor annual audit and quarterly review
- Preparation of 1099s
- Assist with development of company policies
- Assist with other Finance/Accounting projects/Administrative tasks as needed, including reporting and analysis support
- Interact with internal team up to the CEO level

Education and Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or relevant major
- 3-5 years of accounting work experience in Biotech or pharmaceutical industries strongly preferred
- CPA required
- Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Experience with NetSuite or equivalent ERP system strongly preferred
Salary Range: $76,000-$90,000
