Job summary

Charles River in Massachusetts seeks a detail‑oriented Sample Management Associate to compile required documentation and package biological samples for shipping. You will manage inventory of samples, study data, and equipment within the Sample Management group.

Responsibilities include preparing shipping papers, processing domestic and international shipments, logging samples in LIMS, and maintaining freezer charts while ensuring GLP/SOP compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year related experience in a life science laboratory preferred.
• Detail oriented with good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Ability to organize, prioritize work and meet timelines.

Responsibilities

• Package biological samples and complete required shipping documentation.
• Prepare shipping documents and assist with permits as needed.
• Prepare domestic and international shipments according to guidelines.
• Deliver packages to carrier and notify stakeholders of tracking numbers.
• Log samples in/out of storage and manage inventory in storage systems.
• Maintain freezer/refrigerator charts and study data records.
• Ensure compliance with GLPs and SOPs.
