Job summary

ZEISS in the United States seeks a Sales Development Manager for Biotech and Pharma to drive growth in Research Microscopy Solutions NA and beyond. You will expand the sales funnel by targeting biotech and pharmaceutical customers with enterprise services, software, and instrument solutions.

You will collaborate with the biotech/pharma sales team and global colleagues, run workshops and events, and create campaigns that convert opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Biological Science or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years sales experience in biotech/pharma or related markets.
• Willingness to travel domestically (~70%) and globally (~10%).

Responsibilities

• Drive new business growth by identifying and developing opportunities within biotech and pharmaceutical sectors.
• Build relationships through in-person visits and networking to generate leads.
• Develop enterprise services and software portfolio sales opportunities.
• Organize and lead workshops, webinars, and on-site events to engage customers.
• Collaborate with the BD team to develop and execute campaigns that support sales and opportunity generation.
• Provide domain-specific content and insights to support sales activities.
