Job summary

ZEISS is seeking a Sales Development Manager, Biotech and Pharma to drive growth in the RMS North America and beyond. This role focuses on expanding the sales funnel, building networks, and creating new business opportunities in biotech and pharmaceutical markets.

Ideal candidates bring biotech/pharma domain knowledge, strong presentation skills, and experience selling microscopy solutions. Travel ~70% domestically and ~10% globally; ZEISS offers comprehensive benefits and a collaborative global

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Biological Science or related field.
• 2+ years sales experience in biotech/pharma preferred.
• Understanding of biotech/pharma markets and ability to travel domestically ~70% and globally ~10%.
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of microscopy techniques and their applications in biotech/pharma drug discovery.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business growth by identifying and developing sales opportunities within biotech and pharma sectors.
• Build strong relationships through in-person visits and networking to generate leads.
• Explore and develop opportunities for services and software portfolio sales, including enterprise solutions.
• Organize and lead workshops, webinars, and on-site events to showcase ZEISS solutions.
• Collaborate with the Business Development Manager Team to develop and execute campaigns.
• Create domain-specific content to support sales efforts and opportunities.
