Job summary

ZEISS Group in San Francisco is seeking a Sales Development Manager, Biotech and Pharma, to drive growth in Research Microscopy Solutions North America and beyond. You will expand the sales funnel, build networks, and create new business opportunities in biotech/pharma markets while collaborating with global teams.

Ideal candidates bring proven biotech/pharma sales experience, deep microscopy knowledge, and strong presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biological Science or related field.
• 2+ years sales experience in biotech/pharma market or related experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically (~70%) and globally (~10%).
• Demonstrated knowledge of microscopy techniques and their applications in biotech/pharma drug discovery and development environments.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business growth by identifying and developing sales opportunities in biotech and pharmaceutical sectors.
• Build strong relationships through in-person visits and networking to generate leads with biopharma customers.
• Explore and develop opportunities for services business and software portfolio sales, including enterprise solutions projects.
• Organize and lead workshops, webinars, and on-site events including tradeshows to engage customers and showcase ZEISS solutions.
• Collaborate with the Business Development Manager Team to develop and execute campaigns supporting sales efforts.
• Support the creation of domain-specific content leveraging networks.
• Establish and nurture partnerships with biopharma organizations to expand ZEISS’s market presence.
• Provide biotech and pharma industry insights to support sales team in KOL meetings.
• Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activities to uncover new opportunities.
