ZEISS is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to grow opportunities in North America’s Academic Life Sciences sector. You will craft market strategies, translate insights into actionable plans, and partner with marketing to produce compelling content and enabling sales teams.

Qualifications

• Master's in Life Sciences or related field; MBA or PhD a plus.
• 5+ years in business development, marketing, or sales in microscopy or Academic Life Sciences.
• Proven experience in content development, digital marketing, or managing web platforms.
• Strong technical knowledge of microscopy techniques and their applications.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Monitor market signals and customer needs.
• Develop NA go-to-market strategy for the Academic Life Sciences segment.
• Translate insights into market-development plans with objectives, timelines, and measures of success.
• Develop differentiated value propositions and customer-facing content.
• Engage customers & KOLs; support sales with data and case studies.
• Coordinate with Marketing Communications on content priorities and campaigns.
• Travel as needed; manage budgets and expenses.
