Stellaromics, Inc. in Boston, MA is seeking an Accounting Associate to own day-to-day AP and AR as we scale commercial sales. You will work with the Controller and Staff Accountant to process invoices, bill customers, manage collections, and keep subledgers clean for month-end close.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who wants to build a strong foundation at a growing life sciences company and eventually expand into broader close and reporting work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of accounts payable/receivable or general accounting experience.
• Strong grasp of debits, credits, accruals, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices end to end: match to POs/receipts, code to GL accounts, route for approval.
• Prepare weekly payment runs (ACH, wire) for review and approval; keep records accurate.
• Review new vendor setups and verify banking details and any bank change requests before payment.
• Review and process employee expense reports and corporate card transactions for policy compliance and accurate coding.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and reconcile vendor statements.
• Prepare year‑end 1099s with support from outside tax advisors.
• Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices for instruments, consumables, and service contracts.
• Apply cash receipts and maintain the AR subledger.
• Manage collections: monitor aging and follow up on past‑due accounts.
• Review new customer setup requests, set terms, and setup in NetSuite.
• Ensure correct sales tax on invoices and support filings.
• Prepare credit memos and process refunds with approvals.
• Submit invoices through procurement portals and onboard new suppliers.
• Maintain billing schedules for service contracts and deferred revenue tracking.
