Job summary

Stellaromics is seeking an Associate Director of Information Technology to own and build out IT at the company. You will administer systems, manage storage/compute, run security, and establish policies and controls while growing with the business.

The role is onsite at our Boston headquarters; regular onsite presence is required to support lab instrumentation and infrastructure, with cross‑functional collaboration across R&D, Manufacturing, Commercial, Finance, HR and Legal.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive IT experience including 3+ years managing IT operations, infrastructure, or security.
• Experience in biopharma, biotech, or life sciences environments is preferred.
• Proven ability to author and implement IT policies, procedures, and controls.

Responsibilities

• Own and scale storage estate, including on-prem and cloud storage for large datasets.
• Design data lifecycle management with tiering, retention, and archival policies.
• Oversee backup, replication, and disaster recovery with defined RPO/RTO.
• Partner with R&D and Manufacturing on compute, HPC, and data flow.
• Manage networking, core infrastructure, and security controls.
• Forecast storage costs and manage IT budget and vendor relationships.
