Bioprocess (PreSales) Solutions Consultant

Role Summary

The Solutions Consultant partners with Account Managers, using scientific expertise to demonstrate how IDBS solutions address customer data management challenges. This role reports to the Director, Solutions Consulting and is fully remote, with travel to customer sites and offices in Boston, MA, and Woking, UK.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver product demonstrations in various formats.
  2. Manage pre-sales activities including demos and RFPs/RFIs.
  3. Collaborate with sales to qualify needs, demonstrate value, and drive sales.
  4. Provide feedback on customer trends and competitor activities.
  5. Continuously learn and improve demo and sales materials.
Minimum Requirements
  • Experience with scientific/informatic software (LIMS, LES, ELN).
  • Degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline (Biology, Chemical Engineering).
  • 3+ years in Bioprocess, Process Development, Pharma, Biotechnology, or Cell & Gene Therapy manufacturing.
  • Strong presentation skills and effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Travel & Additional Skills
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally (minimum 25%).
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in technical sales, consulting, or sales engineering.
  • Familiarity with IDBS products or similar software, lab automation, SaaS, cloud applications.
  • Fluency in additional languages (e.g., German, Dutch, French, Korean, Japanese).
Benefits & Work Environment

We offer comprehensive benefits, flexible remote work arrangements, and a salary range of $85,000-$105,000, plus bonus/incentives. Our inclusive culture values diversity and equal opportunity.
