Millipore Corporation in Bedford, MA is seeking a Bioprocess Applications Engineer 3 to join the Single Use and Integrated Systems PAT & Digital Applications team. Based at our Bedford campus, this role will support the development and application of integrated platform solutions for next-generation bioprocessing.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering or other engineering discipline.
• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering or other engineering discipline AND 4+ years of industry experience
• Bachelor's degree in a Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering or other engineering discipline AND 5+ years of industry experience

Responsibilities

• Integrate PAT sensors and inline spectroscopy into downstream unit operations, including Protein A chromatography, UF/DF, and other mAb purification steps
• Lead development, optimization, and lifecycle management of Raman chemometric models for mAb streams, buffers, and excipients
• Oversee qualification, deployment, and lifecycle support of Raman instruments and inline sensing units, including model transfer and qualification activities
• Identify and address customer PAT performance gaps, competitive technology landscapes, and process design targets through data-driven solutions and strategic recommendations
• Drive technical strategy in inline spectroscopy, advanced process control, and digitalization of process and analytical tools
• Lead cross-functional contributions spanning R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, and Product Management to commercialize PAT and digital solutions
• Produce customer-facing technical content, including application notes, technical guides, and webinars
• Support customer trials and investigations; capture actionable feedback to inform product and application development
