Job summary

AbbVie Inc. is seeking a Senior Scientist I to join a centralized modeling team supporting upstream/downstream bioprocess development for diverse biologic modalities.

You will develop fit-for-purpose models, integrate AI tools, and collaborate across IT, Data Science, CMC, and Development to accelerate scale-up and tech transfer. The role emphasizes translating scientific challenges into modeling strategies, documenting methods, and contributing to lifecycle management and regulatory documents

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in bioprocess related field with strong modeling background.
• Experience in upstream/downstream bioprocess modeling and OOS/CFD is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI tool development and integration into bioprocess ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and build fit-for-purpose models for bioprocess development.
• Translate scientific challenges into modeling strategies and support scale-up/tech transfer.
• Advance AI-enabled modeling capabilities and integrate with data workflows.
• Collaborate with IT, Data Science, CMC and Development teams.
• Author modeling-related technical/regulatory documents and present findings.
