Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a senior scientific leader in AI-enabled computational biology to build next-generation immunogenicity capabilities across biologics discovery and development. You will apply protein language models, structural modeling, and multi-omics integration to predict and mitigate ADA responses across therapeutic modalities.

You will define strategy, lead high-impact programs, and build scalable computational capabilities while guiding a team of scientists and engineers.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in computational biology, bioinformatics, or related field with extensive experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in computational protein science, biologics discovery, AI/ML, and predictive modeling.
• Proven track record defining strategy, leading multidisciplinary programs, and delivering computational capabilities.
• Proven people-management experience leading scientific teams and developing talent.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the computational immunogenicity strategy aligned with Development Sciences priorities.
• Lead AI/ML-enabled immunogenicity, protein engineering, and translational modeling efforts.
• Develop and integrate multi-omics and clinical data to inform translational strategies.
• Develop and deploy predictive models for immunogenicity risk assessment in preclinical and clinical stages.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Discovery, Protein Sciences, Bioanalysis, Clinical, and Regulatory teams.
• Communicate model performance, limitations, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
