Job summary

Intelas, a Compass Healthcare company, seeks a Field Service Technician to perform planned maintenance and calibrations on a broad range of patient care equipment. You will manage service schedules, respond to calls from clinical departments, and ensure equipment uptime in fast-paced hospital environments.

Ideal candidates have an Associates degree in electronics/biomedical equipment technology and 3 years of hospital-based service experience.

Qualifications

Associates degree in electronics/biomedical equipment technology, military training or equivalent experience.
3 years servicing clinical/patient care equipment in a hospital environment.
Valid driver’s license for field service positions with travel.
Ability to work independently with some supervision.
Good organization and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Performs planned maintenance and electrical safety inspections on patient care and selected equipment.
Manages all assigned equipment and schedules service.
Performs pre-acceptance inspections and develops PM procedures.
Ensures test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
Responds to clinical department calls to evaluate and resolve issues.
Researches and orders repair parts within budget parameters.
Maintains purchase order log and validates invoices for payment.
Provides informal training to equipment users and staff as requested.
Collaborates with department staff and shares updates with supervision.
