Qualifications

• Associates degree or technical equivalent required.
• 3 years servicing clinical/patient care equipment in a hospital environment (preferred).
• Valid driver's license for field travel where applicable.
• Ability to work independently with some supervision.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs planned maintenance and electrical safety inspections on patient care and selected equipment in accordance with standards.
• Manages assigned equipment and schedules service.
• Performs pre-acceptance inspections and develops PM procedures; maintains files on procedures and manuals.
• Ensures test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
• Responds to clinical department calls to evaluate and rectify issues.
• Researches and initiates orders for repair parts within budget parameters.
• Maintains purchase order log and assists with invoice validation.
• Provides informal training to equipment users and staff as needed.
• Makes recommendations to management on service strategies.
• Participates in Quality Improvement/Risk Management programs.
• Maintains orderly work environment; provides on-call support as needed.
• Documents asset-related actions per department practices.
