Job summary

GE Healthcare is seeking a Biomedical Technician to respond to service calls in the Cape Girardeau area, diagnosing and repairing biomedical equipment and performing planned maintenance to ensure reliability and patient safety.

You will work with a local team, communicate clearly with customers, and follow established GE policies and hospital protocols while documenting actions and maintaining test equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Electrical/Biomedical/Mechanical engineering or equivalent military education
• 2+ years of experience servicing electrical/electronics/IT or mechanical equipment
• Analytical and strong customer-facing communication skills
• Willingness to undergo background checks, drug testing, and travel/work after hours as needed

Responsibilities

• Evaluate basic biomedical equipment issues, perform repairs and planned maintenance
• Assist experienced technicians on more complex repairs
• Communicate effectively with customers and teammates
• Follow GE policies and hospital protocols; complete required documentation
• Maintain relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and timely follow-ups
• Work as part of the local service team to cover assigned accounts; participate in on-call rotations as trained
