Job summary

GE HealthCare in Kansas City, MO, seeks an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician to respond to service calls, diagnose issues, and perform repairs and planned maintenance on complex medical devices, delivering service excellence.

This on-site role requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 35 lbs, and willingness to work after hours or on-call. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years servicing medical equipment in an engineering or technical role.
• Military education compatible with 2+ years service experience acceptable.
• 4+ years of medical equipment service with a high school diploma acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate complex biomedical equipment issues and implement repairs.
• Perform planned maintenance and safety/environmental inspections; maintain customer relations.
• Follow GE policies, hospital protocol, and complete required documentation.
• Communicate effectively with teammates and customers.
• Lead technicians on basic and complex repairs and assist in site activities.
• Maintain spares, tools, test equipment and calibration; manage inventory.
• Document repair actions and submit reports on schedule.
