Job summary

GE HealthCare in New Orleans, LA seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician to respond to service calls, diagnose equipment, and perform repair and planned maintenance on basic biomedical devices. The role is on-site in New Orleans and includes relocation assistance.

Analytical and communication skills to explain technical issues clearly.
Background in electrical/biomedical/mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Experience with medical equipment servicing preferred.
Must pass background check and immunization requirements.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and repair basic biomedical equipment and perform PM and safety inspections.
Assist more experienced technicians on repairs and complex issues.
Document repair actions and submit reports on schedule.
Maintain tools, spares, and calibration; follow GE policy and hospital protocol.
Communicate effectively with customers and teammates; support on-call rotations.
