Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Biomedical Technician to respond to service calls within hospitals, evaluating, diagnosing, and repairing biomedical equipment. The role requires on-site work at customer locations and willingness to operate in Wichita, KS and surrounding areas.

The technician will perform preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and collaborate with peers while adhering to GE policies and regulatory requirements. Relocation assistance may be provided.

Qualifications

• Analytical and communication skills to convey technical issues clearly to customers.
• Willingness to be available after hours or on a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain license.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate basic customer biomedical equipment issues, implement repairs, and perform PM/safety inspections as assigned.
• Assist more experienced technicians on basic and complex repairs/resolution.
• Communicate effectively with teammates and customers; follow GE policies and hospital protocols.
• Document repair actions and submit reports on schedule; maintain tools and calibration.
• Provide efficient service delivery within the assigned area and consider on-call responsibilities as trained.
