Job summary

Jefferson Health Plans seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician to provide advanced maintenance and service for biomedical and related clinical systems at Jefferson Health locations in Philadelphia. You will perform preventive maintenance, safety checks, and repairs, while ensuring regulatory compliance and quality control across multiple sites.

The role requires hands-on repair skills, knowledge of biomedical equipment, and the ability to work in a team with strong communication.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
• 2 years progressive experience performing electronic/electromechanical repairs and preventive maintenance in biomedical equipment.
• 1 year progressive experience on general and specialized biomedical equipment.
• Component level repairs at least 35% of the time.
• Knowledge of QA procedures, regulatory requirements and test equipment.
• Ability to work well in a team and handle changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Completes PM workload to achieve high PM compliance.
• Repairs and installs biomedical and communications equipment.
• Procures supplies to service equipment cost-effectively.
• Maintains technical literature and references for biomedical program.
• Ensures equipment complies with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
• Delivers in-service training on biomedical equipment and safety.
