Job summary

Jefferson Health in Lansdale, PA seeks an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician to maintain and repair complex medical devices across departments. You will perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, and quality assurance on biomedical and clinical data/network systems, ensuring uptime and patient safety.

Responsibilities include evaluating new equipment, leading service calls, training staff, and coordinating with external vendors while complying with regulatory and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with 4–5 years of repair experience.
• Experience with diagnostic ultrasound or similar equipment preferred.
• Ability to read technical manuals and modify PM procedures.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, installs, inspects, troubleshoots, and calibrates equipment.
• Reviews PM manuals and QA testing procedures for medical equipment.
• Responds to equipment malfunction to ensure patient safety.
• Leads new equipment evaluations, acquisitions, and installations.
• Obtains quotes for bids and capital purchases.
• Provides in-service training to technicians.
• Oversees external contractors/vendors.
