Job summary

Blue Water Thinking in Phoenix, AZ seeks an experienced Biomedical Engineer to manage our medical equipment program and ensure safety, functionality, and regulatory compliance within our healthcare facility.

The role requires at least three years of hospital or healthcare experience in medical equipment maintenance or management, plus strong knowledge of computer-based medical systems, networking, and information security. On-site work at 650 E. Indian School Rd.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Certification as a Clinical Engineer (CCE).
• Minimum of three years of healthcare-related experience OR one year of direct hospital experience maintaining medical equipment.
• Experience with computer-based medical systems, networking protocols, and information security in medical tech.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive medical equipment management program per healthcare standards and regulations.
• Create a curriculum for continuing education on the safe use of medical technology.
• Manage a recall and safety alert program for medical devices to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• Lead capital asset and infrastructure planning for medical equipment from concept to installation.
