Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Certification as a Clinical Engineer (CCE).
• At least three years hospital/healthcare experience maintaining medical equipment or managing a hospital medical equipment program.
• Knowledge of computer-based medical systems, networking protocols, and information security as it applies to medical technology within VHA.
• Ability to develop a curriculum for continuing education on safe and effective use of medical technology; manage recalls and safety alerts for devices.

Responsibilities

• Planned and corrective maintenance of networked medical devices and clinical systems.
• Provide professional services for technology assessment, implementation, and sustainment.
• Support healthcare consulting and operations regarding medical equipment management and cybersecurity.
