Job summary

Sprague is hiring a Wood Yard Operator for the Tamworth, NH location to move, store, blend and feed biomass fuel to a steam generating power plant. The role requires operating loaders, tractors and forklifts safely, with strict adherence to safety protocols and excellent communication with the control room team.

Two years of equipment operation experience, a valid driver’s license and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of operating loaders, tractors, forklift and other light or heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of safe operation of loader, tractors, forklifts.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Good oral and written communications.
• Must be able to perform the physical demands of the assigned position.

Responsibilities

• Operate and load in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure adequate flow of blended fuel to boiler.
• Maintain cleanliness of rolling stock and fuel forwarding systems.
• Report unsafe or abnormal conditions immediately to Supervisor or Plant Manager.
• Position reports to the Control Room Operator.
